Our Story

Patricia Lynn Hanrahan, jeweler at Patricia Lynn Jewelry

Patricia Lynn Hanrahan, the jeweler behind the brand, wants to color the world with the joy of handmade art jewelry. She works primarily in sterling silver and incorporates a variety of materials, choosing them for their color, form, durability and sustainability.

Jewelry is wearable art for sharing joy!

"My bakelite jewelry reimagines vintage bakelite with bursts of color, and adornments such as opal or wool felt inlay, 14k gold or sterling silver, and gemstones.” She finds sanding through the patina formed over many years to uncover a piece’s original color is particularly satisfying, as the years melt away to reveal surprising colors underneath. "Vintage bakelite hails from the 20’s through the 50’s, so when you wear bakelite, you carry a piece of history with you.”

Always interested in innovative materials, Patricia works with the most durable resin available, rivaling enamel in hardness, embedding opal and wool felt. She also uses a high-tech nano ceramic, as well as more traditional stones such as onyx and mother of pearl.

Each piece is handmade by the artist in her studio. She creates limited edition and one-of-a-kind jewelry.

A one-person studio

My bench where the magic happens. I can get absorbed for hours when I'm working on a piece. This space has had a lot of love!
